Web Map App Competition and Showcase

Share your geospatial analysis, related internship experiences, geospatial course projects, maps, and other creative endeavors with the broader community at the April 21, 2023 Virginia Tech OGIS Symposium. The 2023 poster presentation showcase provides students with the opportunity to share and present their creative talents, network with their peers and professionals, and potentially earn cash prizes in the process (both undergraduate and graduate categories)!

Poster Abstract and Presentation Information

  • Poster abstracts. The deadline for poster abstracts is March 4th. Abstracts should be submitted online via https://tinyurl.com/OGIS2023
  • Poster presentation format. Presenters should plan to share their posters in a face-to-face presentation format during the poster session.
  • Poster authors will be notified of acceptance on or before March 4th. Accepted poster abstracts will be archived on the Virginia Tech Office of GIS and Remote Sensing website (http://www.ogis.org.vt.edu ).
  • Other info. The symposium will be held on April 21st, 2023 and will include presentations from experts in the field and the student poster presenters. Visit the VT OGIS Webpage for additional information.

Poster prizes (both undergrad and graduate categories):

  • First prize:  $400
  • Second prize:  $300
  • Third prize:  $200
